Two men were arrested in Trafford last night (Tuesday 6 June 2023) on suspicion of possession of drugs and weapons.

A 19-year-old and a 23-year-old were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and class B drugs and possession of an offensive weapon. The 19-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.

As well as the two arrests, officers conducted four adult stop searches, three weapons seizures, two partnership referrals and one weapons sweep.

A male on an electric bike was also detained following a short foot chase. The bike was seized and he was reported for driving offences.

Patrols continued in the Quadrant area around King’s Road. Plain clothes officers witnessed a drugs exchange between a group of individuals and people in a vehicle.

Officers converged on the vehicle and the occupants tried to make off but were detained by officers.

Located within the vehicle were numerous snap bags of cannabis worth around £500, 10 snap bags of cocaine and £600 in cash. Also located in the driver side door was a large metal spanner.

After searching the home address of the 19-year-old, officers located two flick knives and one replica BB gun, which was hidden in the bedroom.

On a further search more class A drugs, suspected to be cocaine, were found in his bedroom. The drugs and weapons have been seized.
