A senior Tory backbencher has said that over the last few weeks the Government has “looked like libertarian jihadists” & treated country like “laboratory mice” for economic experiments.

Halfon said that Liz Truss ‘needs to say sorry to the British people’ and when asked about rumours that MP’s were plotting against the Prime Minister he said that
‘It is inevitable that we are all talking to see what can be done’ adding that a ‘dramatic reset’ was needed ‘in the next few days’
Halfon told Sophie Ridge that he was “dismayed by briefings” from No10 to the Sunday Times about Sajid Javid not being any good at his job.
“it’s disgusting” and Javid is a “good and decent man” & all it does is bring disharmony to the party
