A 26 year-old male has been killed lost while two others suffered minor and serious injuries, after a car smash last night in Audenshaw
The 18-year-old driver of the vehicle was arrested at the scene and remains in custody for questioning after treatment to his injuries.
The dead youth was a passenger of the vehicle that collided with a lamp post was sadly pronounced dead a short time later after suffering fatal injuries.
The crash occurred on Droylsden Road, as the car approached North Road around 8.00pm
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the car, described as a white Vauxhall Corsa, and the collision in a busy area of Audenshaw during the evening to get in touch to help their investigation.
Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV/doorbell footage from the area in the moments before the collision took place.
