A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder of 46 year old David Jones in Bolton earlier this month.
David’s body was found at an address on Bradford Street on the 10th July.
Detectives continue to treat David’s death as unexplained and are pursuing all lines of enquiry. They are appealing to the public to come forward with any information that might assist in the investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Butterworth from GMP’s Major Incident Team said: “This arrest is the latest development in our investigation and we’re continuing to keep an open mind as we build a picture of the events of that day.
“The people who knew David, and the local community, could hold information that will help us to develop this into a clearer picture.
“It could be that you saw David that day, or you know the people he associated with. Any information, even if seemingly small, can help us to establish the circumstances of what was an untimely death of a much-loved man. You can do this anonymously, using our public portal.”
The public portal, set up for people to share information, can be accessed here: https://mipp.police.uk/operation/06GMP21K21-PO1
A member of David’s family paid tribute to him, saying: “David was a very big part of my life. He was caring, respected and liked by everybody who knew him. He will be missed so much. I cannot imagine life without him.”
