The Conservative candidate in the Greater Manchester Mayoral election has defected to Reform UK.
Announcing his move on social media Dan Barker accused the Tory Party of giving up on Greater Manchester and failing to support his campaign
“My politics have not changed and I am delighted to be joining the new home of conservatism: Reform UK.”
His defection is giving the Conservatives just 15 days to select a new candidate.
