Coronation Street: The Tour has announced a new addition to the soap’s ever growing fictional universe, giving fans more to explore than ever before. Launching next month, the Weatherfield Precinct is an impressive two-storey working set that gives fans a chance to get even more of a look behind the scenes of the iconic show.
The opening of the new Weatherfield Precinct comes shortly after its first on-screen appearance on January 13th. Fans of the show will be familiar with the hang out spot after hearing it referenced by residents of the iconic street over the years. The new opening marks the first-time ever viewers will be able to take trips to the shopping centre themselves, alongside their favourite characters.
Tickets for the newly enhanced tour will go on sale from 16th January with accessto the new extension is included in the price of a current tour entry ticket.
Designed and developed by the Coronation Street Design and Construction teams, the new set has been cleverly aged and weathered to look like it has been there for decades. On screen, the new set will give scriptwriters the chance to make the most of the show’s broadening horizons, creating opportunities to explore storylines beyond the cobbles of Coronation Street itself.
Tickets for Coronation Street: The Tour are on sale from 16th January. The tour will reopen for its first tour on 11th February.
Ticket Types:
Bronze Tickets – Tour tickets after 3pm. £25.50 per child, £28 per adult and £80 per family
Silver Tickets – Tour tickets from 10am-3pm £32.50 per child, £35 per adult and £119 per family
Available dates:
Coronation Street the tour will return from 11th February 2023 and run almost every weekend until the end of the year.
Tickets are released in 3 month blocks due to it being a live working production set and therefore the initial launch of tickets covers until the end of April 2023.
