Dawn raids saw three people arrested as part of an attempted murder investigation operating across Stockport

The raids were part of Operation Warren – an ongoing investigation in response to the attempted murder of a 19 year old man in Stockport.

Detectives launched an investigation when the teenager was seriously assaulted injuries back in September on Hardman Street in Stockport.

Detective Constable Edward Hooley of GMP’s Stockport division said: “Today’s actions demonstrate the firm stance GMP are taking against those offenders committing violent crime”

“We now have three people in custody and that is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team here in Stockport who have worked tirelessly in order to disrupt a dangerous and brazen organised crime group.

“The horrifying and calculated nature of this crime should not be underestimated and could have easily ended a young man’s life.

“I hope that today’s arrests show how seriously we take this kind of criminality and demonstrates just how dedicated GMP are.

“If the wider public and local Stockport community take one message from today’s action- please let it be that we will do all we can to bring offenders to justice and make sure additional resources are in place across the area to ensure public safety.”
