Three people have been arrested in Heywood after a man was attacked in the street in the early hours of this morning
A man is his 40s was attacked with a metal bar which left him with lacerations to his leg and both of his arms on Bury New Road and High Street in the town
He was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries which are described as non-life threatening.
The three aged 29, 29 and 54 were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault. They remain in custody for questioning and enquiries are still ongoing at this stage.
