On Sunday, August 11th 2019, Afro BBQ Festival brings to you a multicultural culinary phenomenon that has never been attempted before in the United Kingdom.
The UK‘s first festival of African Streetfood. The mouth–watering, family– friendly festival will feature delicacies from the streets of Nairobi, to the Suya parlours of Lagos, all the way down to the township of Soweto. Showcasing street cuisine from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana and several other African Countries.
Guests will experience an exciting multisensory and light– hearted journey into the African culture – including access to our Afro themed BBQ buffet stands and a host of other of exciting local vendors of African cuisine, fashion, art and performances.
Held only a few minutes’ walk from the Chorlton Tram station at the South–west Manchester Cricket Club, the event is designed to attract foodies, vegetarians, and thrill seekers for a sunny afternoon of gastronomic indulgence, multicultural immersion, and creative reverie!

Event is free to attend, but sign-up on the guest list through our website is necessary. Once you are on the guest list, you will be granted access to the festival grounds and the vendor stalls. Access to the AFRO BBQ All-African street food buffet stand can be purchased on the day or on our website.
