The Salford Rum company is to release a Collector’s Edition of its popular spiced rum to celebrate Salford Pride.
In collaboration with Salford Pride, the distinctive Salford Rum bottle design has had a rainbow makeover, and a contribution from each bottle sold will be used to support future LGBT+ events across Salford.
Batch #1 of the Collector’s Edition Pride bottle will be released at the end of April and there will only be 100 bottles available.
The small batch Salford Rum, which is distilled a stones-throw away from the old Salford docks, has been growing in popularity since launching in 2018 due to its distinct bottle design and warm sweet Caribbean flavour. The eye-catching ceramic bottle with wooden cork stopper carries a unique design by Manchester based artist Dave Draws depicting a vintage hand-drawn map of Salford dockyard.
The Salford Spiced rum is a nod to the dock workers of Salford and the import of spices in the 19th century, resulting in a delicious spiced rum combining sweet vanilla and dried fruits blended with warm spices of nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger encased in a unique bottle design.
