Enjoy the most wonderful time of the year at The Midland, a Royal Leonardo Hotel, this Christmas. Manchester’s most iconic hotel has been transformed into a winter wonderland for the festive season, so guests are welcome to take respite from Christmas shopping, enjoy a party with friends or even treat yourselves to an overnight stay.
There are seasonal menus and packages to get everyone in the celebratory mood.
This December sees the much-loved return of the Tea Room’s Festive Afternoon Tea. Guests can enjoy a glass of mulled wine before sitting down to a deliciously seasonal selection of sandwiches. These will be followed by an assortment of wintery home-made cakes such as white chocolate mousse with cranberry and orange compote and a mulled spice rum snowball.
Served from 12pm to 4.30pm, Festive Afternoon Tea includes a glass of Champagne and is available until 2nd January, at £44 per person.
Those who like to start their Christmas festivities with a cocktail can head to The Midland Champagne Lounge where the bar team have come up with a selection of limited-edition seasonal cocktails.
Choose from a Merry Martini (vanilla vodka, Baileys, Amaretto and milk), a Gingerbread Mojito (Bacardi, gingerbread syrup, lime wedges and mint leaves) or a Christmastini (Mozart Dark Chocolate Liquor, Cointreau and Orange Juice), all at £9 per cocktail. Children can get into the spirit with a Grinch Punch (pineapple juice and green colouring) at £4.50.
Mount Street Dining Room & Bar is all geared up for a spot of festive dining at with a two or three course set lunch and dinner menu. Within this modern British dining room which offers elevated home comforts in luxe art deco surroundings, guest can enjoy Midland smoked salmon, rolled breast of turkey wrapped in Parma ham, and mulled wine and poached pear opera cake, ending with with coffee and petit fours.
Mount Street’s festive menu is served until December 30th (excluding Christmas Day), the lunch menu is £29 for two courses and £36 for three, the evening menu is £32 for two courses and £39 for three.
Don’t want to leave? Celebrate and put your feet up in style with The Midland’s Christmas package. This includes a two-night stay, starting on Christmas Eve, with Festive Afternoon Tea, a festive lunch on Christmas Day and an extended breakfast on Boxing Day all included.
