This summer, The Lowry Hotel is inviting young adventurers to explore Manchester like never before with a photo competition – ‘Buzz Around Manchester’.
Designed to engage families during the school holidays, this fun-filled activity encourages children to spot and snap photos of bees in creative ways across the city taking inspiration from Manchester’s iconic bee symbol.
Whether it’s a real bee in nature, a vibrant mural of a bee on the streets, or even a hand-drawn bee placed in pretty scenery – every photo counts. The competition is open to children of all ages and is part of The Lowry Hotel’s schedule of summer events which has already included the launch of their new outdoor terrace and a Summer Solstice event which took place last month.
Entries are open until 31st August giving families plenty of time to buzz and explore Manchester together.
A selection of great prizes are up for grabs for the winner including a Mini Polaroid Instax Camera and a luxurious overnight stay at The Lowry Hotel for the family. The runner-up will receive a goody bag full of Lowry treats and an Afternoon Tea for two or four depending on your family size. All participants will also receive a ‘Bee Explorer Certificate’ for taking part – the perfect memento to remember the summer.
Guests staying at The Lowry Hotel this summer can take advantage of the hotel’s Summer Family Package, which includes participation in Buzz Around Manchester along with family-friendly perks such as The Lowry Loot – a fun allowance for kids to spend on treats and mocktails in the hotel.
