In honour of China’s most extravagant celebration, The Ivy Asia – situated on The Ivy Spinningfields’ second floor – is bringing Chinese New Year to the very heart of Manchester. Guests can expect to celebrate in style with limited-edition cocktails, and an exclusive dessert from Tuesday, 1 February to Tuesday, 15 March.

2022, the Year of the Tiger, which zodiacs praise for strength, braveness, courage, and adventure, will act as the epicentre to The Ivy Asia, Spinningfields’ show-stopping campaign. The Year of the Tiger is the third of twelve astrology signs in the Chinese Zodiac, with the Lunar New Year marking the transition from one sign to another. This year, the Tiger will help usher luck, health, and prosperity.

To celebrate the occasion, the bar team has created a series of limited-edition cocktails each inspired by the king of all beasts. Hero cocktails include, King of the Mountain (£13.50) made from Wyborowa Vodka, Akashi-Tai Umeshu Plum Sake, raspberries and lime juice, Tigers Bite (£13.25) which features Grey Goose Vanilla Vodka, honey, elderflower and lime juice, garnished with red chillies, and the showstopping Lunar Harmony (£16.75) which is made from Hibiki Harmony Japanese Whisky, Cocchi di Torino Vermouth, Mancino Cherry Blossom Vermouth, Campari and chocolate bitters.

Guests can also relish on THE TIGER (£9.50), an exclusive dessert featuring an exquisite chocolate mousse brownie with toasted coconut ice cream and topped with mouth-watering chocolate pearls.
