The Fragrance Shop, the UK’s leading independent fragrance retailer, have announced that they will open one of their hugely successful Sniff Bar’s in Manchester’s Arndale Shopping Centre, from 22nd July – 4th August. The innovative pop-up retail initiative will allow the North West’s shoppers to ‘sniff’ over 100 fragrances and receive expert advice on the scents that will suit them.
The new Sniff Bars are a stand-alone perfume bar in prime locations across the UK, designed to blend physical and digital for the consumer, allowing them to talk in person to a Sniff Bar consultant rather than via email or through live chat. Arndale shoppers will be able to ‘sniff’ a range of designer fragrances and receive expert advice on what kind of scent suits them.
Customers can then select a product of their choice and the rest is done for them – The Fragrance Shop’s specialised staff will order it for you and arrange to have it posted to you, wherever and whenever you choose. Manchester shoppers will also be given a sample to take with them to make the short wait as smooth as possible.
Designed to traffic stop offering excellent exposure for customers, the new initiative is seeing a 30% higher conversion volume compared to instore and it’s a great traffic stopper with 3.5x more customers interacting vs instore. In fact, the new Sniff Bars are attracting 66% more new customers vs the retailer’s direct online channel and average transactions are over 15% higher than direct online and over 30% higher than a typical store average transaction.
Showcasing all the latest and classic fragrances from world-class brands, Sniff Bars make scent shopping easy. Some of the new launches The Fragrance Shop will be showcasing at Manchester Arndale include Diesel Spirit Of The Brave, Ralph Lauren Polo Blue Gold Blend, Narciso Rodriguez Rouge, Marc Jacobs Daisy Love Eau So Sweet, JPG In The Navy and Armani Acqua Di Gio Instinct.

The Fragrance Shop Sniff Bar at Manchester Arndale Shopping centre is open from 22nd July – 4th August, and will be located at LM16, outside of the Office and Thomas Sabo stores.
