Tampopo, the Manchester-born independently owned restaurant, is thrilled to announce a series of new dishes and drinks, providing even more opportunities for guests to enjoy the vibrant flavours of the Far East.

Tampopo’s highly anticipated brunch menu will make its debut on Monday 22nd May, available from a new earlier opening time of 10:30am at the Corn Exchange & Trafford Centre branches. (Albert Square opens at 11am as usual.)

To celebrate, Tampopo is offering an exclusive 50% off discount for tables booked in for the brunch menu before 12 pm. So, the first guests to try the new brunch can get it for half the price. Book HERE and quote ‘50% off Brunch’

What’s on the menu? There are six delicious dishes to choose from, plus five additional sides.

Customers can expect brunch dishes with the infusion of fresh flavours from across the Far East. Take the Tampopo Breakfast – crispy bacon & butterfly sausages with grilled mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and edamame, served with a large corn fritter & a Thai-style fried egg. Authentically Asian dishes include Korean Kimchi Fried Rice served with a crispy fried egg. There’s also the Asian Fried Clucker, a sausage and bacon roti, or the crispy avocado stack.

Expect sweet treats too, like the Cinnamon & Pineapple Pancake – smoky charred pineapple stacked between light roti, served with sweetened condensed milk, coconut milk, & cinnamon ice- cream.

In addition to the brunch menu and extended hours, Tampopo is also unveiling a completely revamped cocktail menu, inspired by the flavours of Far East Asia. Tampopo has partnered with a seasoned drinks consultant, so the new drinks have been designed to complement the restaurant’s bold and vibrant dishes.

There are thirteen cocktails to try and over half have non-alcoholic equivalents available. New cocktails include the Lychee Blossom, an elegant and vibrant fizz that combines gin, prosecco, fresh lemon & lychee juice and topped with elderflower & fresh lychees.

There is also a Bangkok Margarita made with Silver Tequila, orange liqueur, pineapple & fresh lemon juice and shaken with a red hot chilli pepper, served in a glass with a salted rim.

For an East Asian version of the classic Espresso Martini, customers can try the Kopi Martini – Kahlua coffee liqueur with rum, Mekhong & coconut cream, shaken with vanilla, caramel or served straight up.

“We are thrilled to be extending our opening hours to serve the people of Manchester for longer and to launch this exciting new menu,” says Tampopo’s co-founder David Fox. “We are incredibly proud of our 25-year heritage in Manchester. During this time, we’ve built wonderful relationships with people in Manchester and across the Far East. We think these elements come together to offer something really special to our customers, and we can’t wait to share this new brunch and cocktail menu with our friends and customers”

Established in 1997 Tampopo was one of the first Pan Asian restaurants in Manchester and is now one of the best known and loved restaurant brands in the city. David’s mission was to share the gastronomic experiences from his diverse travels, bringing delicious dishes from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Japan – and what’s more, to make it great value and accessible.

Independently owned and operated Tampopo has three restaurants in Greater Manchester – Albert Square and The Corn Exchange in the city centre and a restaurant and takeaway kiosk at the Trafford Centre. Tampopo’s London branch at Rathbone Place in Fitzrovia is called “East Street by Tampopo”. A new Wimbledon branch is set to open in June.
