What do a dress designer, a nanny, and a dentist have in common? Their love of dance and Clarissa’s mateur dance group for mature ladies.
Now the Manchester troupe heads to Paris for the finals of the Expression competition. However they’re carrying more baggage than just their costumes.
Monica’s marriage is on the rocks, Ruby is torn between her lascivious lifestyle and a new love, Ingrida has secretly married her employer. Meanwhile, Fay longs to reconnect with her daughters, and Asha is obsessed with nailing her Bollywood routine for her upcoming wedding.
With Clarissa’s choreography and their shared passion, the ladies are determined to triumph. But betrayal and sabotage threaten their friendships and their chances of winning.
Can they overcome the obstacles and claim the prize?
B Fleetwood lives in Cheadle with her husband. A mother of four and now a
hands-on granny, she writes while managing a lively toddler group and a foodbank. She previously authored a YA science fiction trilogy, The Chroma Series. Dancing Fools and All That Jazz is her first piece of UpLit fiction, inspired by her own amateur dance group.
B Fleetwood explains: “I am passionate about dance and staying fit. The dance group I attend is a diverse group of women aged from their 20s to 80s and from all walks of life. This seemed like a perfect setting for a sisterhood narrative focussing on drama, humour and a shared love of dance. The characters are my invention but the dance is real.”
