Police are appealing for witnesses after a shot was fired at a house in Tameside in the early hours of this morning.
Shortly before 3.10am on Saturday 18 February 2017, police responded to a report that a shot had been fired at a house on Longdale Drive in Hattersley

Officers attended and found damage to an upstairs window consistent with gunshot damage.

A black Mercedes was seen leaving the scene at speed and police are appealing to anyone who saw this to get in touch.

Detective Constable Marc Barker GMP’s Tameside Borough CID said: “It is fortunate that no one was hurt, but a woman and children were at home at the time and were, understandably, terrified.

“We believe this was a targeted attack and I want to reassure the community that a team of officers is working on this case and we have increased patrols in the area.”
