This October, Roxy Ball Room is set to open its second venue in Manchester, complete with six full-size bowling lanes and twelve holes of Roxy’s newly launched game, Crazy Pool.
There will be a brand-new bar and food menu on offer, as well as more games including American Pool, Shuffleboard, Olympic standard Ping Pong tables, and Beer Pong battle stations, plus, arcade games galore.
The over 18’s only booze and ball games bar will take over the 17,000 square foot former Birdcage site on Withy Grove, and the open plan, ground floor unit will be kitted out in the brand’s signature style with UV graffiti wall paintings, all set to the background of an indie rock soundtrack.
The ultimate playground for adults, the new Roxy Ball Room will be the first venue in Manchester to offer Crazy Pool, an extremely playable mash-up of crazy golf and pool. Players must navigate a variety of obstacles to put the ball on the waist-high mini-golf course, using a golf ball and pool cues instead of golf putters.
There will also be six lanes of full-size bowling, six Beer Pong battle stations, two Olympic standard Ping Pong Tables, two full-size Shuffleboard tables and a classic arcade which includes multi-player donkey derby-style racing games, plus a basketball shooting machine.
Bank Shot Shuffleboard will debut at the new venue later this year, the new twist on the immensely popular game features a shuffleboard that loops back on itself so that the puck goes around and back into the scoring area.
As well as the many gaming opportunities, the new Roxy will offer the American style food its existing fans have come to know and love, with a huge choice of dishes including loaded nachos, chicken wings and burgers, as well as stone-baked pizzas. There are vegetarian and vegan options available.
The new bar boasts an extensive draught beer and cider range, with up to sixteen draught lines, including local craft beers, on offer at any time. There’s also a full new cocktail menu with a range of classic & signature cocktails at £7.50 each.
The new venue will open to the public on Friday 2nd October and will initially be open from Wednesday through to Sunday, from 15:00 during the week or 12:00 at the weekends, closing at 22:00 each night.
“Our venue on Deansgate has proved hugely popular with the Manchester community and so we’re really excited to be expanding with a second site in the city centre. Our new venue features some of the games our existing customers have already come to know and love, with a few new additions that you won’t be able to get anywhere else”
We pride ourselves on offering a fun environment for our customers and staff to enjoy. We want to reassure customers that the Roxy Ball Room experience will be safe but uncompromised. It goes without saying that our venues and staff have undertaken and implemented strict risk assessments and hygiene measures across each Roxy Ball Room.”
(Joel Mitchell, Brand Development Manager)
Roxy Ball Room is currently accepting bookings for up to six guests. All games including beer pong can be pre-booked, and there will be enhanced cleaning between all games.

The venue on Withy Grove will be Roxy Leisure’s 10th venue in the UK, with sites already in Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham and Liverpool.
