A Rochdale man has been jailed forseven years for seven counts of incident assault against three victims.
Aslam Khan (formerly Maurice ‘Morris’ Wynn) aged 61 of Maitland Close carried out the offences between 1987 and 1998 in Rochdale.
He was also handed a sexual harm prevention order for life at Manchester Minshull Crown Court
Detective Constable Stacey, of GMP Major Incident Team, said: “I would like to thank the victims in this case who came forward nearly 40 years later and reported their abuse to us.
“Sexual abuse knows no time limits – regardless of when it happened or your age at the time, we are here to listen.
“We will provide support, conduct thorough investigations, and take firm action against offenders. Your allegations will be taken seriously, and you will be treated with dignity and respect.
“Investigating non-recent sexual offences is crucial in delivering justice for victims who have lived with the trauma for years. These cases are complex and require a sensitive, thorough approach to ensure that survivors feel supported and heard.
“Our commitment is to pursue the truth and hold perpetrators accountable, no matter how much time has passed.”
