A motorist has been left with life changing injuries after a Gang of Four men rammed his car attacked him in Leigh yesterday evening
The victim was in his car when a black Volvo drove at him at the junction of Eva Street and Ena Crescent.
Four people left the vehicle and assaulted the victim through the window with weapons.
They then left in the vehicle towards Wigan Road in the direction of Hindley Green. The driver of the Volvo remained in the car and drove away.
A further report five minutes later was made after the black Volvo went through a gate to the fields on Melrose Avenue.
The car was located burned out in the fields and is believed to be the offending vehicle. All occupants had fled the scene and work is ongoing to locate them.
The victim suffered life-changing injuries and remains in hospital for treatment.
Investigating officers are now appealing for assistance from anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
