Steve Rumbelow, chief executive of Rochdale Borough Council, said: “The world of work has changed a lot over the pandemic and I’m proud of our staff for their resilience, their desire to do good and their ability to adapt and rise to the challenge, I’m sure they’d say no 2 days are the same. Our people are our strength, you’d be joining a dedicated workforce and an employer that wants to invest in you and your progression.

“We’re not just births, bins and burials, we’re everything in-between. Working at a council is a wonderful opportunity to make a real and lasting impact on our residents, our environment and our businesses; which is incredibly rewarding. We have a fantastic range of roles available for people to either kick-start their career or to come to us to progress, so come along to our events and see what we can offer you.”

At the event the council’s work and skills team will be on hand to support people with how to complete application forms, write a strong curriculum vitae (CV) and they will be able to support applications to apply for vacancies on the day.
