River Island has opened a huge new concept store, River Island Studios, in the Trafford Centre. Located within the Upper Regent Crescent, the larger store occupies 21,000 square feet of trading space and promises a fully integrated shopping experience which combines physical and digital with interactive fitting rooms and self-service tills.
“We are extremely excited to announce that River Island is opening a brand new store in the Trafford Centre,” said Gemma Scarfe, Digital & Marketing Director. “Manchester has been on our radar for some time; it has continued to receive huge investment over the last few years and has cemented its position as a world-class city. We’re delighted to have identified a new, larger retail space that will deliver a fun and refreshing shopping experience to our loyal customers as well as complement the thriving city.”
River Island’s design-led womenswear clothing and accessories will be offered alongside the brand’s expansive and versatile denim range. Menswear will carry leisurewear, denim in various fits and washes and a sophisticated range of suits and smart wear.
There’ll also be a Kidswear department offering RI baby, mini and older kids’ ranges with highlights including cute co-ords and everyday essentials.

The new River Island Studios store opened on May 5th 2023 at Upper Regent Crescent, Trafford Centre, Manchester.
