From the foothills of the Pennine’s comes MillTown Meals, a recipe in a plot grown by a variety of community gardening groups from across the Tameside area.

Their whole allotment is designed to look like a Pennine’s village with the raised beds in tiers to give the feeling of the hilly landscapes..

There is a backdrop mural of Mossley designed with Milton St John Primary school, seating designed to look like the mill buildings with mosaics of railways and canals from work with Brackenhurst Avenue residents.

A path through the allotment with thermoplastic play markings creates a fun veggies trail.

It’s an all round effort, sixteen very different plots all with different recipes from primary schools, adults and young people with learning or physical differences, community neighbourhood groups, college students and experienced well seasoned growers.
