This Thursday will mark the start of the amazing Quays Festival 2019, a 4-day FREE festival of unforgettable cultural experiences from some of the world’s most inspiring artists.

The perfect way to spend this coming May half-term!

Taking place at MediaCityUK, the festival will see a mesmerising high wire performance by world famous performer Chris Bulzini, with the artist attempting a spectacular 200 metre high-wire walk from the Alchemist across the docks to Media City with just a pole to help him balance.

One of the most spectacular elements of the festival, the ‘Arboria’ from the Architects of Air is a vast and spectacular luminarium that welcomes visitors to explore the sensory worlds within.

The incredible luminarium Arboria is described as ‘a sculpture people enter to be moved to a sense of wonder at the beauty of light and colour.’

There will also be amazing performances from London-based dance artists Igor and Moreno and circus workshops masterminded by Skylight Circus Arts.

“We’ve pushed the limits to find artists to make Quays Festival something that visitors will never forget”, claimed Programme Producer Jennifer Taylor.

“The extraordinary talent involved is what makes it so special they are awe-inspiring. Each day is different and not to be missed.”
