Young patients undergoing kidney dialysis at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital will benefit from a new, life-enhancing dialysis machine donated by an Altrincham property company.

Fortis Developments has donated £13,000 to fund the purchase of a state-of-the-art dialysis machine which will provide optimal treatment to young patients with kidney disease, helping to reduce side-effects and improve safety and wellbeing.

Kieran Moore, Director at Fortis Developments, said: “The purchase of the dialysis machine was a way to support Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital’s amazing work and help the young patients in their care. We see this as the start of a longer-term relationship between Fortis and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and we look forward to working with them in the future.”

Joel Oxberry, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity comments: “A huge thank you goes to Fortis Developments for their very generous donation. The new dialysis machine will give our hospital more flexibility to provide safer therapy for our young patients. Dialysis machines provide a lifeline to our kidney patients, so we are very grateful to Fortis for this funding which will make a major difference to patients, their families and staff at the hospital for many years to come.”
