Printworks is due to welcome nightlife powerhouse Cargo to its plethora of late night destinations on site this July.

Cargo, part of Shoreditch Bar Group which has over 20 venues, will be the group’s flagship
location in Manchester, excelling in food, drink, party and play. The nightclub and bar will
bring the energy of Shoreditch with a Mancunian twist.

Illuminated in neon hues, equipped with a cutting-edge sound system, providing in-house
bottomless brunches and spaces for private hires and booths – Cargo can accommodate all
types of celebrations, including corporate events.

The space will also be open to video shoots, exhibitions, conferences and sport event
screenings.

Set to open its first floor and exterior seating options later this month, its club facilities are
due for launch in the latter half of 2021.

A spokesperson for DTZ Investors said, “Since purchasing Printworks in 2017, DTZ has
been committed to further cementing its position as the go-to destination for entertainment in Manchester by building on its existing offering and we are delighted to welcome Cargo and its unique offering to boost Manchester’s night time economy.

The £9 million refurbishment, set to begin in early 2022, will see improvements made to the aesthetics of the building with new gateway entrances, lighting and signage to make it more welcoming during both day and night and cater for its 24/7 audience. We’re proud to help strengthen Printworks’ reputation within the city centre.”

Andy Brett, General Manager at Cargo, said, “Our goal is to provide the best nightlife
experience for those in Manchester. We will be working with locally based, up-and-coming DJs and artists – with the aim to be at the forefront of the clubbing culture in the city, and are already in discussions with several local and national promoters and brands who will bring their amazing parties to our club.

“We want to create a location where people can come to party until the late hours of the
night, as well as enjoy a cocktail in a more casual atmosphere. Once able, Cargo will be open until 4AM every day, therefore late night party-goers will be able to find a solid spot to end the night on a high note.”

To celebrate its opening, Cargo will be running its happy hour drink offer from 12:00 until
21:00 everyday, which includes great offers like two cocktails for £10 and four beers for £10.

Cargo will be open seven days a week, from 12:00 until 04:00.
