Inspired by the popular Humans of New York campaign, Printworks’ Humans of Manchester aims to focus on the amazing people that make up this great city, whilst spreading positive messages and support during a difficult time.

Manchester is a thriving city, usually full of friends and family spending time together in our busy bars and restaurants until the lockdown was put in place back in March forcing the region into months of social isolation like never before.

Based on Printworks’ social media channels, Humans of Manchester encourages people to upload a video and share their favourite things about the city, what they miss and the first places and activities they will be doing when the lockdown is lifted. Helping to bridge the gap that social isolation has created.

Once the two week campaign ends, there will be a winner chosen at random who will receive £200 of Printworks vouchers, which can be used at any venues within the site once it reopens.

Adam Jackson, Marketing Manager at Printworks, said: “One of the most difficult aspects of the COVID-19 lockdown is being isolated and separated from the ones we love. We want our Humans of Manchester campaign to spread positivity across the city and bring us back together to celebrate everything that is Manchester and help people to look forward to the future.

“Printworks has been at the heart of Manchester for over 20 years, supporting and celebrating throughout the city’s history. It is no different during the COVID-19 lockdown, we want to encourage everyone to get involved and we can’t wait to see the amazing video entries.”
