Pret’s Christmas Lunch, Pret’s Veggie Christmas Lunch and the vegan Very Merry Christmas Lunch are back and are joined by Pret’s Christmas Lunch on Gluten-Free Bread.

Pret A Manger today launches its Christmas Menu, which sees the welcome return of Pret’s Christmas Sandwiches, including a new addition to the range.  Festive-themed hot food, sweet treats and hot drinks also feature on the menu.

Pret’s Christmas Sandwiches for 2019 will be unwrapped by the nation at 10:00 this morning, with four traditional sandwich options on the table for customers to enjoy.

New for this year is Pret’s Christmas Lunch on Gluten-Free Bread.

Pret’s Gluten-Free Bread, which was introduced by the company in April, has been given a Christmas makeover and paired with the ingredients of the traditional Christmas sandwich. Free-range turkey, herby pork stuffing and port & cranberry sauce are combined with a generous dollop of mayo, presented on top of a thick slice of Pret’s gluten-free seeded bread.

Freshly made by Team Members in shops every morning, Pret’s Christmas Lunch sees thick slices of free-range turkey, paired with port & orange cranberry sauce and herby pork stuffing. The sandwich is finished with baby spinach leaves, a dab of mayo and crispy onions – which have been expertly tasted by Pret’s Team of Food Innovation Managers – to ensure extra crunch!

Vegetarians need not feel left out, as Pret’s Vegetarian Christmas Lunch also makes a comeback. The veggie version of Pret’s Christmas lunch sees roasted butternut squash sprinkled with spicy rocket and a nutty Christmas pesto. The vegetarian delight is finished with a spoonful of yoghurt mayo, crispy onions and caramelised pecans.

Completing the sandwich range is a vegan option, Very Merry Christmas Lunch, which last year prompted social media reactions like the following; ‘If the only thing I ate for the rest of my life was the vegan Christmas sandwich from pret….I think I’d be ok with that’. Grilled carrots, crispy onions and baby leaf spinach are combined with Pret’s festive vegan stuffing and port & orange cranberry sauce. The sandwich is finished with caramelised pecans for an added Christmas crunch.

Pret’s Global Head of Food Innovation, Hannah Dolan, said, “This year, our team of Food Innovation Managers have gone to extra lengths to ensure the ingredients that make up our menu of Christmas items are the most delicious they’ve ever been.

“From tasting stuffing at 07:00 on the hottest day in July, to using a well-loved family tiffin recipe for one of our sweet treats, we’ve been dedicated to getting Christmas right, and can’t wait to hear what the nation thinks of the food.”

Customers can also get into the seasonal spirit with two Christmas Baguettes. The Brie, Pistachio & Cranberry Baguette and Pret’s Christmas Baguette also go on sale today.

50p donation from each special Christmas Sandwich or Baguette will be given to the Pret Foundation, to help break the cycle of homelessness. The Pret Foundation supports grassroots charities linked to homelessness, including donating food to homeless charities at the end of every day but also has its own initiatives, like The Rising Stars Programme and the Pret House.

The much-loved, limited edition, Pret’s Lobster Roll makes a return for the Christmas season. Maine Lobster claw and knuckle is coated in a zesty mayo and served in a freshly baked baguette. The Lobster Roll also has slices of cucumber, crisp cos lettuce and a sprinkling of sliced spring onion.

For those looking for a sweet treat, the Pret Mince Pie, Christmas Tiffin and Melvin, Pret’s Melting Gingerbread Snowman will also return alongside Pret’s menu of Christmas coffees and hot chocolates.

The new menu will be available in Pret shops from 10:00 on Tuesday 05/11, all vegetarian and vegan items will also be available in Veggie Pret shops.
