Police want to speak to this person after an assault today at West Didsbury tram stop
A woman was assaulted at West Didsbury tram station on Lapwing Lane just before midday
The victim – a woman in her 30s – suffered a laceration to her head.
Detective Chief Inspector Richard Struttman from our south Manchester district said: “This is a concerning incident where a victim has been assaulted at a tram station. It is believed that the victim and the suspect are not known to each other.
“We have identified a person that we would like to speak to in relation to this incident, if you are this person or know this person, please get in touch with us as soon as you possibly can.
“There will be an increased police presence at tram stations on the East Didsbury line, if you have any questions or want to speak to them around any fears you may have, please do, as they are there to assist.
