Police are investigating two suspected arson attacks in Oldham earlier this week
On Tuesday 2 December at around 10:10pm, it is believed two men wearing dark clothing and balaclavas, drove to a property on Warren Lane in a red vehicle, poured petrol on the victim’s vehicle and set it alight.
On the same evening at around 11pm, it is believed the same two individuals ignited a small fire in the victim’s garden on Queens Road with a bottle of accelerant and paper.
Thankfully, no injuries were sustained in either of these attacks.
Officers have released CCTV images to try and identify those involved.
Detective Inspector Andrew Barrett from Oldham’s Criminal Investigation Department said: “I understand this incident may have caused serious concern amongst local communities, however we believe this was a targeted attack and poses no threat to the wider public.
“We remain committed to keeping the public safe and our officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to identify those responsible for these attacks. We encourage anyone who may be able to support our investigation to come forward”
