are continuing to appeal for information following a serious collision on Upper Brook Street, Manchester last month.

At around 8.25am on Monday 27 October 2025, it was reported that a vehicle collided with a pedestrian as he was crossing the road.

The pedestrian, a 72-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment, but sadly died from his injuries on Wednesday 19 November.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the attending officers, and the investigation is ongoing.

PC Nicola Heap from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This was a tragic incident and all of our thoughts remain with the man’s family and friends during this difficult time.

“Officers are continuing to provide specialist support to the family while our work continues, and we are still appealing for information as part of our investigation.

“If anyone who witnessed the incident has information, we would urge them to get in touch to assist with our enquiries.”
