A 79 year old woman has died after being hit by a car in Prestwich this evening
The incident happened on Bury New Road at Scholes Lane
A silver Volvo was seen badly damaged.
The driver, aged in his 40s, has been arrested for causing death by dangerous driving
Police have now launched an investigation into the incident and are keen to speak to anyone who may have CCTV footage, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the incident.
