A woman driver aged 78, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a pedestrian was killed on Slade Lane
The incident happened around 8.10pm yesterday evening
The car shortly after came to a stop near the junction with Portland Road.
The pedestrian, aged 64, died shortly after.
The driver remains in custody for questioning.
Officers investigating the incident are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any other information to please come forward.
This includes anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage from the area.
