The court of appeal has reversed the decision of the High Court and ruled that the Government’s classification of Palestinian Action as a terrorist group is legitimate
Palestine Action had characterised itself as a non-violent direct action protest group
However the court of appeal said that Evidence collected through police investigations indicate Palestine Action members have intended to further escalate the seriousness of their activities.
“In our judgment this was an important feature. It was the Home Secretary’s responsibility to protect the public.”
