The Queen Elizabeth Hall plays host to Oldham Comic Con 3 – and it promises to be bigger, better and even more action-packed than ever before.

Held on Saturday 11 May, 10am–4pm, the free event is open to everyone.

With great stalls, workshops, a cosplay competition and selfie opportunities lined up with well-known superheroes, fans wills be running as fast as the Flash with excitement.

Forty guests from the world of comics including artists, writers and publishers are scheduled to appear alongside novelists and comic writers, including Amy Chu, writer on Red Sonja and Wonder Woman, Keith Williams, background artist at Marvel whose work includes Spider-Man, plus Nick Brokenshire artist and writer on Star Wars.

Cllr Martin Judd, Deputy Cabinet Member for Economy and Enterprise, said: “We’re delighted to support Oldham Comic Con for a third year running.

“This year we want to make the event even bigger and by moving it to the Queen Elizabeth Hall, this means we’re able to offer fans so much more and I’m sure no one is going to be disappointed.”

Event organiser, Dennis Whittle, said: “Following the success of the previous two years we wanted to keep growing Oldham Comic Con so that we can attract even bigger names in the world of comics to Oldham.

“From novelists to comic writers, to competitions and exhibitions, there is so much on offer.

“Come along, you will be far from bored as we’ve packed the day with activities and well-known comic guests.”
