First conceived only last year, ‘#nostalgiacore’ has been gaining popularity steadily this autumn and winter in the run up to Christmas.
Searches for the trend, devised to capture the nation’s yearning for simpler times, have peaked over the last few weeks and received more than 131 million views on TikTok. Shoe Zone has analysed data from TikTok, the original platform for the reminiscent revival, to identify the most influential aesthetics for Christmas 2021 and how to recreate them at home.
