High temperatures tomorrow will see Northern plan to run fewer trains in some areas so they can focus on keeping the trains that do run operating as efficiently as possible.

Manchester Piccadilly to Buxton

Manchester Piccadilly to Alderley Edge

Blackburn to Rochdale via Darwen

Manchester Victoria to Leeds via Bradford
Wigan Wallgate to Leeds

You should consider if your journey is essential as fewer trains will be running. If you do choose to travel tomorrow, please check before you travel, prepare for longer waiting times, busy trains and short-notice cancellations.

Nationally more records have been broken with the Met Office saying Temperatures have exceeded 34°C today for the 8th day this year

That makes it a record for the most number of 34°C or higher in a calendar year with the
record previously set in 1976 and 2020 for 7 days
