Northern Roots Urban Farm has been seriously vandalised over the weekend
Young plants & inactive beehives have been destroyed, holes have been cut through the new polytunnel as the intruders left a trail of mess and destruction.
As all of Northern Roots activities are funded using charitable grants & donations,they will now have to redirect time, resources & charitable funds to repairing the damage, rather than carrying out conservation work or creating opportunities for local residents.
The incident has been reported to the police.
