The Churchill Tree, the latest pub and restaurant from Cheshire Pub Co – the group behind popular village pubs including The Ship Inn, Styal, and The Frozen Mop in Mobberley, is set to open at Alderley Park this autumn.

The new pub and restaurant will be located in the Grade II-listed Tenant’s Hall surrounded by many of the park’s scenic walking, running and cycling routes that weave their way through the 400-acre park, making Alderley Park the perfect location for Cheshire Pub Co’s new venue.

The Churchill Tree will include a 160-cover restaurant with an outside beer garden and offer hearty pub meals made from quality British produce and a broad selection of drinks, including quality cask ales from local breweries, as well as premium lagers, wines and spirits.

“It’s all about creating a proper pub and keeping things simple, yet sophisticated. Customers can cosy up by our open fires in the winter and soak up the sun whilst dining al fresco in the warmer months. Our new venue at Alderley Park will give people a safe and happy place to visit during these unusual times and provide residents and the business community with a local pub which feels like a home from home.

The setting at Alderley Park is beautiful and we feel very fortunate to be a part of the community. We can’t wait to open our doors and get to know our new customers.”

(The team behind Cheshire Pub Co)

Named after the sweet chestnut tree planted by a young Winston Churchill in Alderley Park in the early 20th century, The Churchill Tree is the second pub to be opened by Cheshire Pub Co this year and follows the recent opening of the Crown & Conspirator in Bramhall.

“Alderley Park is a fantastic place to live and work and we can’t wait for The Churchill Tree to open this autumn. The team behind the new pub and restaurant is renowned for creating venues that focus on quality and comfort, and The Churchill Tree will be a great spot for people to grab a bite to eat or drink, at lunch or after work. I’ve no doubt it will prove very popular and will be enjoyed by both the businesses based here at the Park and the local community alike.”

(Dr Kath Mackay, Managing Director – Alderley Park)
