After just one year of serving tasty treats from its shop on Deansgate Mews, Alex’s Bakery is celebrating a move to Great Northern square, where it will be able to welcome even more cake fans through its doors.
Officially opening on Saturday 3rd October, just 11 months after opening its premises on the mews, the bakery will be able to seat 24 cake lovers at its new home, with a further 16 outside.
Expect the same mouth-watering sweet treats from the talented team of bakers, led by head baker and owner, Alex Furlan. From freshly baked cupcakes and scones, to slabs of gooey chocolate brownies and stuffed cookies, there’s something for everybody.
Scrumptious sweet treats will be served alongside coffees, shakes and afternoon teas at the new location, along with a light lunch menu of paninis, quiches and soup.
Alex’s Bakery has gone from strength to strength, growing in size like one of its much loved cakes. From artisan markets, to a concession at Debenhams Trafford Centre, to her very own shop – Mancunians can’t get enough of her bakes!
On the move, founder Alex Furlan said: “It was a dream come true to set up my own bakery last year, and what a year it’s been. There have been obstacles, similar to many businesses this year, but we are thrilled to be opening a new space at Great Northern that allows even more customers into the shop. I’m so excited to welcome more people down to try some of our delicious cake, cookies and brownies!”
