The Wigan MP and Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy broke the Governance Code by not declaring that her pick for Independent Football Regulator Chair had donated to her leadership campaign
The appointment of David Kogan as chair of the football regulator made THREE breaches of the Governance Code
Firstly Nandy failed to declare Kogan had donated to her leadership campaign, secondly that a potential conflict of interest was not discussed with Kogan at his interview
Tbirdly the Culture department failed to disclose Kogan’s political activity, notably his extensive links to the Labour Party
The process said the Prime Minister Kier Starmer was not entirely up to the standards expected
