The UK’s favourite Italian chef, Gino D’Acampo, has launched an exciting new summer menu at My Restaurant, Manchester.

Guests can look forward to trying some of D’Acampo’s all-time favourite Italian dishes. Each dish added to the menu is created from the finest, specially sourced seasonal ingredients.

The launch will see 12 new delicious dishes introduce at the Corn Exchange restaurant, perfect to enjoy in the warm summer months.

The authentic Italian dishes will include: tomato and borlotti bean soup, served with cheesy toasted ciabatta, linguine with king prawns, basil pesto, cherry tomatoes and rocket; plus asparagus and pea risotto with broad bean, leek and Pecorino cheese. Guests can also try the cannelloni, freshly prepared in house, with rocket, spinach and ricotta cheese – produced using the finest Buffalo milk from Garofalo farms in the heart of the Campania region in central Italy.

Further additions to the menu include crispy duck with cherry and red wine sauce, shredded spicy beef with gem lettuce, celery, tomatoes, chilli, and mint; and bianca – a white pizza topped with smoked Provola, Gorgonzola, Pecorino and fontina cheese.

For those with a sweet tooth, Gino has introduced a mouth-watering lemon cake, served with vanilla ice cream, an apricot and kirsch tart, served with mascarpone; and limoncello ice cream – made in house using freshly churned milk and cream from Gornall’s Dairy farm in the village of Goosnargh, Lancashire, served with a homemade wafer biscuit.

Commenting on the new menu additions, Gino said: “Summer is my favourite time of year, and the new dishes remind me of sun-drenched days in Italy. They’re all bursting with incredible flavours, made from only the finest seasonal ingredients, from here in the UK and Italia. I’m excited to introduce the new dishes to our guests, and I’m sure they will love them just as much as me and my family.”

Gino D’Acampo My Restaurant, Manchester spans over two floors and seats 250 guests. The restaurant features an open kitchen, prosecco bar, deli bar, photo booth and a stunning all-weather terrace.

Gino’s ITV2 show Italian Coastal Escape, showcasing his passion for traditional Italian food, has recently been shortlisted in the TV Choice Awards for Best Food Show.
