Mustard Tree, the Greater Manchester charity dedicated to combating poverty and preventing homelessness, today announced it has been named the official championed charity partner for the inaugural Greater Manchester Wellbeing Series.
The partnership creates a powerful, full-circle approach to workforce wellbeing. While the Series provides a platform for the region’s workforces to improve their health, the collaboration champions Mustard Tree’s vital work in helping people gain the skills and confidence needed to re-enter employment.
The Greater Manchester Wellbeing Series is a new movement designed to be accessible for all organisations. It features two pillar events:
  1. Greater Manchester Wellbeing Run & Walk on 21st May in Heaton Park
  2. Greater Manchester Meditation on 22nd October (a virtual, guided session)
Jo Walby, CEO of Mustard Tree, commented:
“We are thrilled to be the official charity partner for the Greater Manchester Wellbeing Series. Meaningful work is fundamental to a person’s dignity and wellbeing. The funds raised through this movement will help people across Greater Manchester gain the confidence to secure sustainable jobs. This partnership is a perfect alignment of missions, connecting the business community directly with the people we support.”
For participating organisations, the GM Wellbeing Series is a powerful tool for boosting employee engagement and fostering team cohesion. This investment in people directly contributes to a more resilient, connected, and productive workforce while offering a clear way to support the local community.
Nick Rusling, CEO of City Wellbeing Series Ltd, the event organisers, said:
“This is a collaboration built on a shared belief: that a healthy workforce is the engine of a healthy city-region. Mustard Tree does incredible work getting people work-ready. By championing them, we create a platform for Greater Manchester businesses to invest in their current teams and, at the same time, support the city-region’s future talent. It’s a powerful ripple effect.”
