The iconic Mersey Ferries has announced a new cruise product for 2020 following a successful trial in 2019. Due to high demand and excellent customer feedback, Mersey Ferries has scheduled fourteen Liverpool Bay Cruises from June to August.

The unique sightseeing cruise into Liverpool Bay offers breath-taking views from the deck of a Mersey Ferry.  During the three-hour cruise, passengers will enjoy incredible scenery and learn more about the fascinating history and geography of the River Mersey and Liverpool Bay with expert commentary from a Blue Badge Guide.

Along the route, cruise goers will experience phenomenal panoramic views of the river as they sail past Royal Seaforth Docks, Fort Perch Rock at New Brighton and along the Crosby Channel towards Blundellsands and Formby.

This special sightseeing cruise will also give passengers the chance to see Anthony Gormley’s spectacular ‘Another Place’ art installation at Crosby from the river. ‘Another Place’ consists of 100 cast-iron, life-size figures spread out along three kilometres of the foreshore, stretching almost one kilometre out to sea.

On the return journey back into Liverpool from the mouth of the river and the Irish Sea, the ferry will follow the journey of many cruise liners and ships, past and present- allowing passengers to experience that magical feeling of sailing into Liverpool.

The cruise will feature live music from the best talented local artists Merseyside has to offer. There will be a fully licensed bar on board with a selection of snacks and drinks available to buy throughout the cruise.
