Headquartered in Ripponden, JLA provides business-critical equipment and end-to-end servicing to over 25,000 customers across the UK. The private equity backed company was formed in West Yorkshire in 1973 and has grown organically and through acquisition over the years to offer solutions across catering, laundry, fire safety and security, heating and infection control.

Established in 1999, MC2 is now 100 percent employee owned and provides strategic marketing communications to high-growth organisations. The agency has been working closely with JLA to advise on brand strategy and support the roll out of its new identity.

It was successful in winning two competitive pitches, and is retained to provide creative and branding work, as well as national and trade media relations. MC2 will focus on raising greater awareness of JLA across key sectors, promoting its work in digital connectivity, and communicating its progress in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

Liam Buckley, Director and Strategist at MC2, said: “Now more than ever it’s important that businesses put their customers front and centre, and that’s a strategy that JLA has been focussed on since inception. The company has experienced rapid growth both organically and through a series of strategic acquisitions, and we’re excited to be working with their team over the months and years to come.”

Tina McKernon, Head of Brand and Customer Experience at JLA, added: “MC2 has been instrumental in the successful roll out of our new brand. Not only have they captured the essence of our business – but they’re always bringing new ideas to the table and not afraid to challenge thinking to get the best results. It’s a critical time for JLA as we gear up for further expansion and refocus our business efforts around digital connectivity and ESG.”
