Lancashire leg-spinner Matt Parkinson has joined Durham on a two-week loan.
The 26-year-old joins the North East outfit ahead of their LV= Insurance County Championship Division Two match against Derbyshire, which starts tomorrow at the Seat Unique Riverside.
Director of Cricket Performance Mark Chilton said: “Following conversations between Matt and the Club’s coaching staff, it was agreed that game time in the County Championship would be preferable.
“Earlier this week, an opportunity arose for Matt to join Durham on loan and the deal has been agreed between both counties and the player.
“This is a great opportunity for him to get some more overs under his belt in a more competitive environment. We are looking forward to seeing how he performs and to welcoming him back into the squad.”
