Funded by a Crowdfunding campaign, the latest venture by Mary-Ellen McTague will be opening its doors next week in Chorlton.

Called the Creameries, the Manchester Chef, formerly of Aumbry and Fat Duck, and more recently of Manchester’s Art Gallery Cafe have taken over Edwardian The Creameries on Wilbraham Road and have transformed it into a relaxed and family-friendly restaurant, with a dedicated kids area that includes book, arts and crafts.

It will feature an open bakery, where diners can watch the freshly baked bread being prepared, and a salad wall from which your greens will be plucked.

A breakfast of fresh pastries will be available from 8am daily, while lunch will be a selection of soup, sarnies, and a huge choice of cheese. On Sundays, family and friends can split their sharing roast, all washed down by natural wine and beers.

Designer Soo Wilkinson and baker Sophie Yeoman are also behind the scheme which has promised to bring a beautiful building back to life… filling it with warm food and good friends.
