Manchester’s Printworks has a host of free activities and offers lined up for students as part of the city’s annual MCR Student Social event on Thursday 29 September.
Leading this year’s Festival Play Zone and helping new and returning students kick-off their new year in the city in true, circus-style, Printworks will be bringing all the fun of the fair to the city’s Exchange Square (just a stone’s throw from Printworks) with foam axe throwing, virtual bowling, crazy golf, Ball-nado and supersize Printworks pong – reflecting the leisure activities on offer at the city’s premier entertainment destination.
From 12pm – 7pm students can take part in activities, snap selfies at the winner’s carousel selfie station and win prizes and discounts from Printworks venues by rolling the giant QR Dice, then post 7pm it’s time to party and head over to Printworks! Head to Bierkeller for its Freshers Welcome Silent Disco Ritual, which will see the ultimate battle of the DJs from 8pm – 2am – get your free ticket here or dive into Bingo Balls – the first ball pit bar in the North of England! Bringing Shoreditch energy with a Mancunian twist, Cargo at Printworks offers students a new nightlife experience spread over 3 floors with music rooms offering every genre whatever your vibe, while at Boom Battle Bar, the UK’s first and only battle bar, extend your night with axe-throwing, karaoke, shuffleboard, American pool
and beer pong. Plus there’s 50% off entry to escape room Escape Reality and bowling at Ten Pin or swing by Treetop Adventure Golf and play two courses for £12pp.
