As it celebrates its fourth decade in business, Manchester’s uniquely independent retail experience, Afflecks, has been transformed into a gift-filled haven for the festive season.

There’s a special pop-up yuletide mini-market on the third floor, a bumper crop of new traders, festive food specials, extended opening hours and everything you’d need to do your shopping in one place while supporting local independent retailers.

Afflecks’ halls have been well and truly decked from head to toe with sparkly decorations and baubles galore. An Indie Pop-Up Festive Village will be taking place on the third floor every weekend in the lead up to Christmas.

Each weekend will see different independent businesses pop up to provide an even more eclectic mix of independent gifting options under one roof. You’ll find everything from artwork to homewares, quirky clothing and jewellery – meaning that Afflecks shoppers can return home with a perfectly unique, independent and local haul of Christmas gifts.

A raft of new traders has recently moved into Afflecks just in time for Christmas, creating the most comprehensive and diverse independent shopping experience yet. From sea moss to streetwear and urban gardening to Indonesian teas, Afflecks has even more of absolutely everything you could need for those har-to-buy-for people in your life.

Whether it’s body and beauty, food and drink, mind and wellness, or homeware and collectables your loved one is after, at Afflecks there’s something to make everyone’s yuletide extra special this year with something unique and thoughtful under the tree, at fantastic prices too. There’s also no need to break the bank this year when buying presents as Afflecks is also a super affordable shopping haven with lots of gifts coming in under £10.

Locally grown, quirky jewellery makers, Sour Cherry, located on the second floor of Afflecks sell a wide variety of stunning earrings, ranging from £5-£10.

Those wanting to treat themselves this Christmas should keep an eye out on Afflecks’ socials, as every Sunday in December they will be giving their followers the chance to win a host of special prizes, including an indie weekend shopping and lunch package. Team Afflecks is confident that customers will be able to do ALL their Christmas shopping the independent Manchester way at their three floor venue. Shoppers who share their Afflecks Xmas Shopping snaps with the hashtag #AfflecksXmasChallenge will also be in with a chance of winning Afflecks vouchers.

Afflecks’ famous third floor cafe has also welcomed a brand new concept, Third Floor Rising, which has opened just in time for the festive period. Third Floor Rising will be serving up a handful of Christmas specials, including festive paninis, homemade pies and cakes, mince pies and pumpkin spiced lattes. (Read more about them HERE.)
