Manchester Gin has added more prestigious awards to its ever-growing trophy cabinet. The internationally recognised brand, known for its unique flavours and commitment to quality, has received five more accolades, from local business awards for its operations to international drinks trade awards for its products, the home-grown gin brand is far from being shaken or stirred this awards season.

Starting overseas, Manchester Gin thrived at the China Wine & Spirits Awards, sweeping up two esteemed Best Value awards. Its iconic Signature liquid received the highest honour of a double gold award. Signature is Manchester Gin’s pioneering product- it’s distilled using dandelion and burdock to create a smooth finish, with citrus and juniper notes on the nose. Raspberry Infused, a delicately sweet liquid with a distinctive pink hue, also received critical acclaim with a gold award.

The World Gin Awards didn’t disappoint with Raspberry Infused taking home a gold in the English Flavoured Gin category. Wild Spirit, a creamy savoury liquid with complex herbaceous notes, scooped a silver in the English Contemporary Gin category for its flavour which is inspired by the botanicals found in the woodlands of Manchester.

Continuing its winning streak, Manchester Gin’s distillery, The Spirit of Manchester Distillery, received the esteemed Product & Business Innovation award at the North West Federation of Small Business Awards, which celebrates small businesses. The distillery opened its doors in September 2019 under Grade-II* listed brick railway arches in central Manchester and also boasts its own premium cocktail bar and restaurant, Three Little Words.

These successes follow on from a great win at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival in October 2019. Here Manchester Gin were the first ever recipients of the Artisan Drinks Producer of the Year award and its winning streak doesn’t seem to be slowing down with such a strong start to 2020.

Manchester Gin Co-Founder and Master Distiller, Jen Wiggins, said: “We are thrilled to have received these five amazing awards. Manchester Gin came from humble beginnings, being distilled, bottled and labelled all from our dining room. To see how much we’ve grown in a few short years and for our success to recognised by the industry, it’s an unbelievable feeling.”
